At Bechange we are looking for people who would like to join the Bechange Shed Project. The word SHED for most people conjures up the image of a wooden building in the garden for keeping your garden equipment in, but not here at Bechange. We have a large space with a hall, kitchen and community garden which can be utilised by local people who want to become involved in the project.
Shed’s aim to foster community support networks, promote health and well-being, bringing like minded people together. Projects offer a sense of achievement, social interaction and means of remaining active.
Shed projects enable people to share and learn new skills, working together ‘shoulder to shoulder’ to support one another. Although traditionally activities have been focused around DIY and woodwork, a Shed project can be based around all sorts of hobbies and skills, they can focus on gardeni9ng, cookery, furniture refurbishment, sewing, board games – the list is endless!
